Welcome to Westbrook Mere, a cherished angling destination nestled in Bourne End, Hemel Hempstead. Our enduring connection with this historical site dates back to 1927 when the club first cast its lines, and we have proudly owned it since 1954.
This picturesque waterbody spans approximately 3.5 acres, offering a diverse aquatic landscape with depths ranging from 2.5 to 10 feet. Westbrook Mere is home to a thriving population of carp, primarily upper doubles, complemented by a generous assortment of 20s and 30s. But it doesn't stop there; this aquatic haven also hosts a rich variety of roach, bream, pike, perch, and tench.
Our commitment to fisheries management ensures the Mere remains in optimal condition, providing exceptional angling experiences throughout the season. For those members equipped with a club pike ticket, winter pike fishing is a rewarding option.
At Westbrook Mere, your angling journey can encompass a multitude of methods and baits, including ledger/feeder, waggler, and pole techniques, accompanied by the versatile allure of maggot, sweetcorn, boilies, bread, and worms, often enhanced with a judicious application of groundbait.
